Adam Burke, based in Chicago and originally hailing from Camlough, County Armagh, began his stand-up comedy career after researching the Chicago stand-up comedy scene for Chicago Social. He won Second City's Up Next Comedy Competition and has steadily worked clubs and festivals, performing his own sets and opening for Marc Maron, Hannibal Burress, John Mulaney, Maria Bamford, John Oliver, Tracy Morgan, and Aziz Ansari.

In addition to his stand-up career, Burke has been a writer for WGN-TV, is the creator of the webcomics The Grimbles and Diabolica, hosted a YouTube series (the 5 O'clock Somewhere News with Comedian Adam Burke), released his comedy album Universal Squirrel Theory, and is a regular panelist for NPR's Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!
